Mohamat Ismail Bin Rosli has been newly appointed as the MoonBar Manager. Often referred to as Isma, he has been in the food & beverage industry for over 10 years especially having worked in bars and restaurants throughout Malaysia.

When it comes to creating cocktails & mocktails, Isma is the man behind the bar. His new combination of colourful fruits, juices and other ingredients to concoct refreshing and beautiful cocktails will defintely make you come back for more.

Try the following mocktails – Raspberry Bee’s Knees; Pineapple Cobbler; Wildcats Cooler; Southern Mango; Strawberry a la AMES; Pink Paloma; Virgin Mojito; Suave; Fair Lady; Virgin Sangria, Earthy; Aqua Presca; Mango Mule; Blueberry Mojito and Chamomile Magic.

Khairul Bin Kamaluddin is also the new Sous Chef for MoonBar. He came aboard three months ago and his main role is to specialize in western cuisine at The MoonBar. Having worked in several Italian stand alone restaurants and international hotels, Chef Khairul brings along with him more than 23 years of experience in the culinary field.

Chef Khairul’s forte is making his own homemade pasta, ravioli and pizzas.

In the new menu, Chef Khairul will feature Tapas dishes such as Spicy Curried Lamb Bombas; Oysters Rockefeller and Gambas Al Ajillos.

His pizzas are to die for. Check out the Venetianna Pizza, topped with Beef Salami, Tomato Concasse and Mozarella Cheese. His is also an expert in making his own patty for burgers. His Dark Side Moon Beef Burger made of Charcoal Flavoured Bun with Caramalized Onions, Cheese and Gherkins is absolutely delicious.

For pastas, you cannot resist his creation of Risotto Capesant, lightly creamed sauce with seared Hokkido Scallops.

For the MoonBar Show Stoppers, which are the main courses, Chef Khairul has cleverly invented Chicken Saltimboca which is Smoked Chicken with Cheese and Sauteed Spinach. Two of his signature dishes are the Herb Crusted Norwegian Salmon Fillet with Lemon Beurre Blanc and tender Braised Lamb Shank, fall-off-the Bone Lamb Shank, Braised in Red Gravy and served with Sauteed Spinach.

Lastly, the dessert temptations are truly moonkissed with sweetness. The favourite is Dolce Tiramisu made of Mascarpone and Savoiardi Cookies.

Watch the flambed Cherry Jubilee right in front of your eyes, an old school classic of Dark Cherries simmered in Orange and Butter with Vanilla Ice-cream.

MoonBar is a restaurant and bar located on the rooftop of Ames Hotel.

This outlet is popular for young couples, hotel guests and conference/convention attendees. A signature bar/restaurant that draws locals to come to the hotel to enjoy a menu of modern and contemporary dishes complemented by a selection of drinks. On weekdays, MoonBar opens from 4pm till midnight and on weekends from 4pm till 1.00am. The outdoor area offers 96 seats, indoor 140 seats and Cigar Lounge up to 10 seats. MoonBar is perfect for birthday celebrations, anniversary dinners and even company events.
